Super meal for a very special birthday. We were not easy to accommodate, with indecision and late notices of meals, but the staff were professional at all times. Food was superb, albeit a shame sides were quite expensive and it seemed no sides came with the main meal - but the pigeon was superb, as was the pork belly. Travelled a long way (from Sheffield that morning) and it was great to be in such a relaxed and attentive atmosphere. 4 stars for atmosphere was purely as it was quite quiet, but we we shielded from that anyway and had our own space.
Had a celebration meal here for our 25th wedding anniversary and, as usual, it was excellent. It isn't cheap but is still good value as the setting and the food are superb. The staff are great and you never feel rushed. I couldn't recommend it enough for a special occasion.
Had a beautiful Sunday roast at Masons today. The food was incredible, service was quick and staff were very attentive, lovely atmosphere & the restaurant looks lovely - we will be back! Highly recommend.

On Saturday 12th April we hosted a very special birthday dinner for my wonderful step mum. The party size was 26 so we had the separate private dining room which was simply perfect, it had plenty of space around the table, music fed through from the main restaurant (we had a lovely pianist playing that evening), table was a great size for all glasses and food even with some added decoration.. the room was also FREE to hire! Now onto the food, Masons did NOT require a pre order for any of the food (just a small 10 per head deposit which was deducted from the bill on the day) which had me worried they would not have everything people wanted, and the service would be slow whilst the kitchen worked hard on what people ordered on the day but how wrong I was.. the staff took the food order all in one go and it was a slick and seamless operation bringing the food out at pace, and the quality of the food was also exceptional, there was not one mistake or complaint about any of it! The service was also phenomenal, if you wanted a drink, the team were there, if you wanted extra sauce for your dinner, the team were there, honestly there was nothing too much for them, I cannot recommend and rave about Masons enough. What the team delivered for me and my family on Saturday exceeded my expectations a million times over and I can’t wait to go back!
Large group booking for a family birthday, were in the back room which was perfect for us, although shared with another group. Service was excellent, food was superb and all delivered hot and in good time, (sides are huge so get them to share). Live pianist playing was lovely. Not cheap but great for a special occasion.
When we walked into restaurant we were wowed by how amazing it looked, food was amazing, our server Isabelle went above and beyond for us especially as it was our 1st wedding anniversary. Thank you for making our day so special, highly recommend!
We had our Christmas Dinner at Masons this year and it was perfect. The food, drink and service was spot on. The pianist set a great atmosphere in the well decorated and newly renovated restaurant. Even though it was busy there was never a point we were left waiting. Great experience and will be returning for non festive meals.
